MOB MIND AND HYSTERIA.
The mob mind of to-day is too often in the ascendant. Therefore a certain type of religionist and the parasitic demagogue have their opportunity to work communal and political harm. The hysteria of to-day makes possible a lot of its prominent puttering. Thus a parasite has a very good chance to be any one of the varieties of Moses who would gladly lead the Children of Mammon into the wilderness. &dmash; Elmer Willis Sere, in “Neale’s Monthly.”
