putterings, 552-551
blighty, wilayat, viletī,
epidemic, we
use the words to mean so many things
no word left to mean;
their chief value that of an index
and what may be called quasi-scientific puttering,
puttering around dark tents full of dying.
Sent five of the boys to Blighty,
but that was all that happened.
The contrast took my breath away.
